What is the Deep Web? Do you know?

How often do we use the internet? Every day?

By using the internet every day, it does not mean we are already proficient and know the ins and outs of the internet world well. Maybe we only know the "surface" of the internet. Because in the internet world who knows?
The inside of the internet world is commonly known as the deep web. If all this time we only know the world of the internet from ordinary browsing activities, then the deep web cannot be accessed by browsing the way we usually do. Because the true deep web stores many mysteries that cannot be accessed by everyone.

About the Deep Web

The term deep web was first popularized by Mike Bergman, founder of BrightPlanet. Since 2001, the deep web has been known to have far more content and information than the surface web. The terms surface web and deep web are used to analogize the world of  #internet  as a whole.
Because it turns out that the internet world that we access every day is only part of the surface. There is a lot of content that we might never know while surfing the internet.

Why is there a Deep Web?

Deep web contains information that is not indexed on standard search engines in the internet world such as #Google , Yahoo or Bing. It is estimated that the amount of content contained on the deep web has a percentage of 96% of the total internet content. This amount is certainly very large when compared with the surface web content that we normally access.
What is on the Deep Web?
Most of the content on the deep web is in the form of a database of research results conducted by research institutions, government and private research. Some other content consists of pornographic content, illegal, content created by hackers, secret government documents and various other extreme content that cannot be detected or censored by ordinary search engines.
There are even human trafficking sites and research sites that involve humans as objects. Finding extreme content such as the exploitation of children as sex objects, buying and selling illegal drugs, mercenary services and the black market are not hard to find on the deep web. In essence, the world of the deep web is very broad and contains a lot of dangerous content.
Is the Deep Web dangerous?
The deep web is indeed very dangerous for users in the ordinary internet world. There are many hackers or parties who can detect our presence easily when we enter the deep web. What interests make us access the deep web?
If we make carelessness when opening the deep web, it is not impossible that hackers will reveal our identity and even steal the information we have. The deep web has 400 to 500 times more information than the ordinary web, with information capacity reaching 7,500 TB. Nearly 95% of content on the deep web can be accessed without registration. Registering or logging in on the deep web will only make it easier for cyber crime that is lurking about us.
What to Do When Opening the Deep Web?
Actually the deep web is not a container of information that should be accessed. But if we are already accessing the deep web, all we need to do is be careful with everything that is on the deep web.
Try not to download anything or enter any information on the deep web. Just seeing wild content on the deep web might not be too much of a problem, but don't let us get too involved in the deep web world.
Don't forget to delete every history and cache after accessing the deep web so that your personal information isn't easily traced by hackers or  other #cybercrime perpetrators  . We should not access the deep web because this "trough" is indeed too dangerous to dive into. Surfing on the "surface of the internet" is enough to provide benefits and additional knowledge for our lives.
Just make the deep web a basic knowledge that makes us familiar with the internet world as a whole.
